Bobby's Back With A Bang 💥
Bendekovits nets last minute winner in 3:4 win at Porzelona.
Play Together Now live up to their name to defeat the Reserves.

The title may be wrapped up and the hangovers from last weekend still settling, but that didn't stop the VIs hamming up the drama in a sizzling encounter with Porzelona.
The hosts got off to a roasting start through Julian Löbel only for Josh Knipschild to equalise, poking in from John Haberl-Arkhurst's parried effort. Alexander Porzer then struck to restore Porzelona's lead before half time. His performance would certainly ensure many twists in the tale.
A warranted halftime rollocking from Dave Knapper sent the VIs out determined to go the whole hog, and with an hour gone Brian McGorrian skewered in a delicious cross for Ronan Smith to slide in and slam home at the back post. Minutes later, Haberl-Arkhurst sent in a crackling cross that forced a Porzelona own goal and put the VIs ahead for the first time. Porzer then struck again to make it 3-3 with 13 minutes to go, yet with the game hanging in the balance on 90 minutes, was sent to trot off for an early shower after chopping down Josh Knipschild. Then came the final twist. Making his comeback from an awful injury, Bobby Bendekovits was brought on and connected with a McGorrian cross to save the VIs' bacon just before the final whistle.

At Stawplatz the Reserves took on a strong Play Together Now team. Reza Saeedi sent them two goals up within 15 minutes, but the VIs restored parity soon after. Igor Smirnov winning a third penalty in three games with another run into a box, this time allowing Cian O'Brien to confidently convert from 12 yards. The VIs drew level on 27 minutes when a high ball from Bendekovits was brought down by Brian Rigley who converted with a low half volley into the bottom corner. Mohammed Kazem Ahmadi then put Play Together Now ahead at the interval. In scorching conditions, the VIs could not muster up an answer, as Saeedi got his hat trick and Ahmadi his second to make the final score 5:2.
